How fast does a transfer arrive?

Mobile wallet payouts usually land in under a minute. Bank deposits and cash collection depend on the receiving provider and its cut-off times, so the quote screen shows the expected window before you confirm anything.

What does it cost to send money?

One fee, shown next to the rate before you create an account. The quote gives you the amount you send, the fee and the exact figure your recipient collects, all on the same screen. Nothing is deducted afterwards.

How does the retail rate work?

The rate on our public board is the rate in your quote. Our retail margin is already inside it, so there is no second, worse number waiting at checkout. Once you confirm a transfer, that rate is held for 15 minutes while you pay.

Is Remitcore licensed?

Yes. Remitcore Money Transfer Limited is licensed and supervised by the Central Bank of Kenya as a Money Remittance Provider. We are based in Nairobi and change money over the counter at our Lavington bureau.

Where can my recipient collect the money?

M-PESA and other mobile wallets, a deposit straight into a bank account, or cash over the counter at a partner branch or agent. Every stage carries a receipt and a tracking reference.
